Frannie's Brownie troop just had their end-of-the-year party at the beach. (More on that next post.) I was in charge of dessert and thought these cupcakes would be perfect! But let's give credit where credit it due - Bakerella - I remembered seeing these on her blog about a year ago and kept the idea in the back of the mind. I actually had blue sanding sugar in the cupboard and it matched the icing perfectly!
