SNIPPETS - ANOTHER HAT

Hello Cupcake
Another free pattern courtesy of Repeat Crafter Me.  Hat is sized for a newborn (0-3 months old), but I think it fits pretty well on an American Girl doll.  Vanna's Choice yarn.

No one ties their hat anymore, do they?

SNIPPETS - MORE AG

Sparkly hot pink sweater for American Girl.  Free pattern courtesy of Little Kina via Ravelry.  I used Vanna's Glamour and size 5 needles.  Knit in one piece, top down.  No seaming (yeah!).  Next time I would go down a size on the needles.

Next up is a crocheted ripple afghan which is displayed on Molly's American Girl doll bed (now retired).  I think this is a mix of Red Heart Super Saver and Vanna's Choice yarns.

SNIPPETS - TAIL OF TWO FOXES

FOXY LADY
Knitted pink fox.  Berroco Vintage Chunky.  Pattern from Tiny Owl Knits (I just love her designs).

The Quick Brown Fox
Jumped Over The Lazy Dog
Free pattern from Trine Kok via Ravelry.  English version available.  Vanna's Choice yarn.  I added a couple inches to the body of this scarf, picked up stitches and crocheted the ears as well as adding an embroidered nose.

PONCHO

Frannie selected the colors.  The yarn is Vanna's Choice.  Affordable, washable, nice color selection, easy to work with (no knots or splitting).  Frannie says it is super cozy and she can't wait for the weather to change so she can wear it to school.

This is a free pattern from Drops Design and you can find it here.  The pattern is written for sizes 5/7 years, 8/10 years, and 12/14 years, but it would be really easy to adjust for larger sizes as well, just in case you'd like to make one for yourself.

It is a very simple pattern and works up lickety-split!  I added a scalloped border to the bottom put in an extra row of single crochet with a small scallop trim to the neckline.

Another use for one of my favorite vintage buttons.

Frannie has been sporting an I Dream Of Jeannie hairdo all summer (the braid wrapped into a bun with a pony tail coming out the middle).  The hardest part is finding clips strong enough to hold it in place.

MY NAME IS MICHAELS

I've got a nickel

I've got a nickel shiny and new

I'm gonna buy me all kinds of candy
That's what I'm gonna do.
We finally have a craft store in our area.  Only a short drive away.  That's dangerous!
