YELLOW POLKA-DOT BIKINI

(Two, three, four, tell the people what she wore!)

It was an itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka-dot bikini,
That she wore for the first time today.
(Everyone into the water!)

So in the water she wanted to stay!

Frannie's Brownie troop just had their end-of-the-year party at the beach. (More on that next post.) I was in charge of dessert and thought these cupcakes would be perfect! But let's give credit where credit it due - Bakerella - I remembered seeing these on her blog about a year ago and kept the idea in the back of the mind. I actually had blue sanding sugar in the cupboard and it matched the icing perfectly!

PURSE-ONALITY

This is a new purse I've created using left-over patchwork pieces from a quilt that I had made. I forget what the fabric is called, but I just love it! (Could it have been something from Three Sisters?)

Guess I'm left holding the bag. :)

I even made the pockets out of little fabric tidbits that were pieced together and they are really adorable. (Nothing went to waste, so does that make it Eco-friendly?) Of course, there is some rick-rack trim and buttons too.

PURPLE RAIN

Here's another bead-knitted change purse. Amethyst silver-lined seed beads with coordinating cotton thread. It has an umbrella/parasol charm as an adornment. Very sparkly! It's available for sale at my new Etsy shop.
