I LOVE THE FLOWER GIRL

Flowers In Her Hair

Flowers Everywhere

I Love The Flower Girl

She Seemed So Sweet And Kind
She Crept Into My Mind

Sunday was Frannie's First Holy Communion and I wanted to show you the headpiece I made for this special event. I used a plain, 2-inch wide plastic headband that I purchased at Michael's for the base. Then I made some roses out of crepe paper streamers that I had previously gathered up. Next, I went through my stash and found all kinds of oohs and ahhs to fill in the blanks, including vintage buttons with rhinestones, pearls, and sparkly Christmas garland that I cut into pieces. Then my bff (the hot glue gun) and I got right to work. Frannie was thrilled!

EARTH ANGEL

Frannie's got a green thumb. She grew this sunflower all by herself. And, yes, we can grow figs in CT, you just have to bundle them up in the winter.

Happy Earth Day
My father took these photographs from around our yard last summer. How about that polka-dot planter? Now that's Cute Stuff! I found it at Walmart.

AT THE HOP

Poodle (Scottie Dog) Skirt

Well, you can rock it you can roll it

You can stop and you can stroll it at the hop
When the record starts spinnin'
You *chalypso* when you chicken at the hop
Do the dance sensation that is sweepin' the nation at the hop

Frannie is very proud of all her patches.

Ah, let's go to the hop

Let's go to the hop, (oh baby)
Let's go to the hop, (oh baby)
Let's go to the hop
Come on, let's go to the hop

I made two of those skirts - One for Frannie and one for her best friend.

Well, you can swing it you can groove it

You can really start to move it at the hop
Where the jockey is the smoothest
And the music is the coolest at the hop
All the cats and chicks can get their kicks at the hop
Let's go!

HERE COMES PETER COTTONTAIL

Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the bunny trail
Hippity, Hoppity
Happy Easter Day!

Outdoor greeter I painted a few years ago. The basket handle is made from decoupaged paper pansies, the basket ruffle is of roses, the bunny grass is from pictures of leaves, and those tiny violets are decoupaged on too. And, last, but not least, there are black and white polka-dot polka-dots on his bow. That is not a typo - look closely!

Happy Easter

HEY THERE, GEORGIE GIRL

There's Another Georgie Deep Inside

This is Georgie and this is his girl. Georgie loves a good story just as well as the next Bichon. Here he is in his winter outfit. He has recently been to the puppy parlor for his new spring do.

I LOVE PARIS

A thank you gift for a random act of kindness. It is Amy Butler's drawstring purse pattern that I made out of some Eiffel Tower fabric along with some Polly Goes To Paris. Lined in white with black polka-dot. I got the idea from a Halloween drawstring purse that Sharon over at Red Geranium Cottage made for Frannie. It's so cute I never put it away and have been wanting to make one ever since. Thanks for the inspiration Sharon! I hope the recipient of this French themed purse loves it just as much.
