Frannie is preparing to make her First Communion in a few weeks. This is the banner I made for the side of the church pew. This photograph does not do it justice (much better in person), but as usual I was snapping the picture a minute before I had to walk out the door to drop off the banner. Felt and stick on letters were suggested, but I just couldn't go that route. I opted for hand embroidery. Frannie's name was done in her favorite color, pink, and First Eucharist, church name and date were done in a gold floss and filament. Border of metallic gold rick-rack ties it all together. Frannie can't wait for her special day.

What a great name Frannie has. A strong name!!! Love the banner you made Marsha.
Congratulations Frannie! That's a big step to make in the church. Love the banner, Marsha. Francesca was on my list of first names for Amelia. I was over-ruled but it's a great name!
